MAT-WORK

Equipment Pilates Class Reformer/ Chair/ Tower

The student will learn the Pilates technique through choreography which is performed on studio equipment such as the Reformer, Combo Chair, or Tower system. The equipment uses springs for resistance to support and also challenge the pupil.

One To One/Duet

One to One in Pilates will help you work at your pace on the equipment. Whether it’s postural, for rehabilitation or simply to improve your level.

Suitable for pregnancy after 12 weeks.

Group

The Group classes have 5/6 people in a class. The class rotates equipment each week as much as that is possible with the group. This means that in one week the class will do Reformer, then Tower, and the Chair class.

Levels

Reformer Foundations - Ideal for beginners and people new to the studio or needing to go at a slower pace.

General level - so some experience is advised. This is not beginner level.

Intermediate to Advanced - People who have a strong level of experience and skill in Pilates technique. You must attend at general-level classes before joining this class and check with your teacher that you are ready to join.

Pilates Mat-Work

These classes involve performing the exercises on the mat with small props. They are bigger groups than the equipment studio.

The pupils strengthen their core muscles through a repertoire of exercises and teacher cues, supporting their posture and alignment.
